Your Leaders— What’s Their Five-Year Plan?
Like many organizations, nonprofits are passing the torch to a new generation of leaders. Newer organizations may not have experience with the important components of leadership succession such as the transition of relationships, processes and institutional knowledge. A FIT Nonprofit maintains a formal plan for management succession, addressing expected management turnover as well as Board policies that support the continuity of Board leadership. In this session, we will explore the elements of a successful leadership transition for members of upper management and key board leaders including practical policies and procedures as well as strategies for passing the baton smoothly in your organization.
