WHAT IF: Risk Assessment for Your Nonprofit
What keeps you up at night? Nonprofit leaders often know what the risks are, but they may not have adopted an organized collaborative process for addressing them. A FIT Nonprofit implements a risk assessment process and mitigating policies and procedures to prepare the organization for its most severe potential risk events. This session translates big company risk management concepts into a practical risk assessment process for smaller organizations. Participants will use hands-on examples to explore risk assessment concepts and consider how to apply them to their organization. We will explore identifying the factors that drive an organization’s resources, brainstorming potential risk events and evaluating them based on likelihood and possible impact using a straightforward process to “see it, size it up, and avoid it, tame it or at least watch out for it”.
