Planning for Sustainability— FIT! Strategic Planning for Your Nonprofit

The leaders of a FIT Nonprofit set the organization’s direction through a strategic planning process that addresses mission-related needs, impact and assessed risks. An organization’s sustainability depends on its leaders’ ability to maintain superior impact over the long haul. In this session we will discuss a practical approach to strategic planning that goes beyond the traditional framework of mission, vision, goals and strategies to address the realities of: what you can do best; what is needed the most; what resource providers will support; and what risks you may face. We will discuss how to use your strategic planning process to develop flexible guidance for making decisions that keep the organization focused on its mission.
