Thank you for registering for the upcoming 501(c)(fit!) Guided Solutions Webinar Series; Your Nonprofit Risk Assessment.

Here are some things you should do before we begin, to prepare you to participate fully:
Identify a point person: You will want to have one Board Member and one member of management serve as leaders of your risk assessment process. These leaders will serve as liaisons between the Board and management throughout the project.

Build Your Team: You will want a team to go through the risk assessment process with you. You should consider including your CEO and other members of management who have primary knowledge of your programs, finances, grants, regulatory compliance and business operations. Also consider including other staff, Board members or other volunteers who would bring knowledge and expertise to the process in the areas of fundraising, advocacy, volunteers, institutional history, and special professional expertise.
Set Your Schedule: Share the webinar schedule with your team and schedule some time after each webinar session to review the information presented and tailor it to your organization.

Schedule some opportunities for your task force leaders to provide project updates to your leadership including your Executive Committee and your Board and solicit their input.
Gather Information: Gather organizational documents and share them with your task force members.

Consider including current copies of:
• Form 990,
• Audited financial statements,
• Audit letters to management and audit committee,
• Year-to-date internal financial statements,
• Budget,
• Summary of Grant information,
• Current policies and procedures documents,
• Annual report,
• List of Board and Committee members,
• Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation,
• Other documents applicable to your organization.
